In the name of God amen. I Dugald McPhail of the county of Cumberland and state of North Carolina Planter being very sick and weak in body but of perfect Mind and memory thanks be given unto God calling unto Mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this Last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of almighty god that gave it, and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a Christian burial at the descrecition of my executors never doubting but at the general Resurrection I Shall receive the same Again by the power of god and as having such Worldly Estate herewith it hath pleases god to Bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

First I do order by this my last will and testament that Dearly beloved wife Mary shall have her substance out of the estate during her lifetime also I give to my well beloved daughter Sara Baker the sum of five shillings currency also to my we beloved Daughters Catherine and Christain five shillings each to be raised and levied out of my estate.

Also I give unto my well beloved sons Daniel McPhail and Dugald McPhail a certain parcel of land containing two hundred and fifty acres to be equally divided between them and to the former of these my sons I give the lower half and to the latter I give the upper half together with another tract or parcel of land a joining it containing fifty acres also to my son Daniel McPhail I give a certain parcel of land containing one hundred acres where on I now live also my Negro fellow Andrew I give unto my son Daniel McPhail

Thye my two sons I constitute make and ordain the sole executors of this my last will and testament all and singular my lands messages and tenements by them freely to be possessed and enjoyed, an I do herby utterly disallow revoke Disavowal all and every other former testaments wills legacies bequest and executors by me in any version before named Wills and bequeaths natifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament In — — I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of March in the year of our lord his one thousand seven hundred and ninety three.
