Helen McREE married Thomas TURNER in Cumberland County, NC on March
5, 1803 in Cumberland Co. They had one son, John T.B.TURNER. Second husband
was Moses MATHEWS. Both buried in Stewart Co, GA. She married third Andrew
WATSON. There was a William McREE living in Stewart County, also. He may
or may not have been related to Helen McREE. Would like to know who her
parents were and her siblings.

Jesse GULLY married Hannah CALCOAT in Cumberland County 12 December
1827. Family tradition says that Hannah was "the ward of Ezekiel and
Mary Hooks SLOCUMB" (Jesse's grandparents of Duplin County) but I
have never been able to confirm this. I would appreciate any information
about Hannah CALCOAT. They died in Neshoba County, Mississippi and are
buried in the Neshoba Baptist Church Cemetery there.

Looking for any info on Elijah BUTLER, Blacksmith, & wife Lincey
? They are in 1870 Cumberland census in 71st Tnshp., along with his widowed
dau. Mary Amanda HENDERSON & her children. Elijah was in Duplin in
1840, New Hanover in 1850, & back in Duplin in 1860. Believe he was
related to the BUTLERs who lived in Cypress Creek area of s.e. Duplin 1780-1860.

NC, married Ann Elliott MASSEY 02 Sep 1857, same county. His mother was
Ann SNOW (1816-1895). His maternal grandparents were Absalom & Flora
(McPHAIL) SNOW. Does anyone know who his father was? Could it have been
the Thomas James JORDAN who was a confectioner in Cumberland Co in 1834?

Jonas was the son of William and both served in the revolutionary war.

Seeking any information on siblings and parents of William Henry Hart
born Nov. 15, 1877, in Cumberland Co., N.C. Parents were Miles C. HART
and Nancy PRIDGEN and is all the information I have on the parents. William
died Dec. 8, 1962, in Richmond Co., N.C. I would like to be able to find

POWELL, JORDAN
I am searching for the parents of Benjamin Hilliard POWELL b. April
12, 1819 and Jimmie Ann JORDAN b. July 27, 1832. Benjamin Powell and Jimmie
Ann Jordan were married in 1850. Their marriage bonds appear both in Cumberland
County, NC and Franklin County, NC. They later moved to Surry County, NC
and died there. B. H. POWELL appears in the 1850 Census of Cumberland County,
NC. They were my gggrandparents.

Looking for info on James Olomon, born late 1700s in Ireland. He came
to the USA and married Sylvia (1798-1871), one of 7 daughters of a Pensylvania
Dutch farmer. They had 3 children- Peter Patrick (b 26 April 1821 Fayetteville,
NC), Nora and Sylvia. James abandoned his family and ran off with a young
Irish girl, Mary TISINGER. They settled in Mooresville, IN, and had 2 sons,
James and Ezra. James Sr. ran the 1st carriage shop there and died 6 Oct
1844. Sylvia took her children (early 1840s) to Jefferson County, IL. This
is not a common name!

I am looking for any information on Nicy LEWIS, who witnessed the will
of Nathan KING of Cumberland County, NC, dated 19 August 1829. Also, any
information on Henry KING, born 1 Mar 1792, probably in NC, who won land
in the Henry County, GA 1821 land lottery, while living in Morgan County,
GA, later lived in Butts County, GA, then in 1839 in Upson County, GA,
and moved to Barbour County, AL. Henry's son Abner H. KING, of Barbour
County, AL, married Elizabeth LEWIS, daughter of Elvy LEWIS, and his son
Lewis Hilliard KING married Evelyn LEWIS (both of whom lived and died in
Bullock Co, AL. One of Lewis Hilliard KING's sons was named Necy (pronounced
Neecy) Lewis KING, also of Bullock Co, AL. Any information would be appreciated.

he moved to Maury County TN. and died there in 1821. On his tombstone is
noted as Revolutionary war soldier. Cannot find in records thus far. Can

FURR
Ancestors and descendants of Joseph FURR who lived along Deep River
below the horseshoe near McLendon's Creek, Cumberland County, North Carolina,
in 1777. The 1790 census shows him living in Moore County, North Carolina,
with a wife, four sons under age 16, and three daughters.
