Manship Township, Cumberland County, NC
Carefully surveyed by Beverly Boyko. A single burial marker located on the former Overhills Tract in a wooded area. To reach the marker travel north on Nursery Road from Vass Rd. approximately 1/4 mile, then travel east on firebreak trails approximately 3/4 of a mile. The marker is on the southe side of a very large pine tree and can only be reached after a short kike east from the trail. The marker is approximately 150' north of an unnamed tributary of Overhills Creek in the vicinity of military grid coordinate PU 80421 97400.
One homemade flat topped cement marker with hand incised inscription. The marker is approximately 3 1/2 inches thick, 28 inches wide and 39 inces tall. This marker faces south-southwest, and there is no footstone.
