	This indenture made the fourth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand 
eight hundred and fifteen between Duncan McGregor and Rebekah Finlayson and Philip McRae 
all of the county and Sate aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred 
dollars to them in hand paid by the said Philip McRae at or before the sealing and delivery 
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged therefore doth release and 
discharge the said Philip McRae his heirs Executors and Administrators and assigns they 
the said Duncan McGregor and Rebekah Finlayson hath granted bargained  --alisned and 
confirmed unto the said Philip McRae and his heirs Two certain pieces or parcels of land 
situate lying and being in the County of Cumberland aforesaid bounded as follows  One Fifty 
acres on the waters of Little Rockfish Joining his own patent land including the Plantation 
whereon he now lives  Beginning at a hickory running West twenty two chains thirty seven 
links crossing McFalls branch to a pine then North twenty two chains thirty seven links to 
a stake between pointers then East twenty two chains thirty seven links to a pine then crossing 
near the head of a Branch to the Beginning.  Also Fifty acres on the waters aforesaid Beginning 
at a pine near the head of a branch running East twenty two chains thirty seven links to a stake 
among pointers then South twenty two chains thirty seven links to a pine then West twenty chains 
thirty seven links to a pine thence direct to the Beginning and all Houses buildings orchards 
ways waters water courses profits commodities hereditaments appurtenances whatever to the said 
premises hereby granted or any part thereof belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion 
and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits hereof and also all the estate 
right title interest use trust property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Duncan McGregor 
and Rebekah Finlayson their heirs Executors Administrators of in and to the said premises and all 
Deeds evidences and writing touching or in any wise concerning the same.  To have and to hold the 
land hereby conveyed and all and singular the premises hereby bargained and sold and every part 
and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Philip McRae his 
heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of the said Philip McRae and of his 
heirs and assigns forever and the said Duncan McGregor and Rebekah Finlayson their heirs Executors
Administrators doth covenant promise and grant to and with the Philip McRae his heirs and assigns 
by these presents and that the said Philip McRae now at the time of sealing and delivering these 
presents is seized of a good sure perfect and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple of 
and in the premises hereby bargained and sold and that they has good power and lawful and 
absolute authority to grant and convey the same to the said Philip McRae in manner and form 
aforesaid and that the said premises now are and forever hereafter shall remain and be free 
and clear of and from all former gifts grants bargains sales dower right and title of dower 
and judgments and execution troubles charges incumbrances whatsoever made done or committed 
or suffered by the said Duncan McGregor and Rebekah Finlayson or any other person or persons 
whatsoever and that the said Duncan McGregor and Rebekah Finlayson  and heirs and all and 
singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said Philip 
McRae and his heirs and assigns against him the said Duncan McGregor and Rebekah Finlayson 
and their heirs and all and every person or persons whatsoever shall warrant and forever 
defend by presents.  In Witness whereof the said Duncan McGregor and Rebekah Finlayson hath 
hereunto set their hands and seals the date and year first above written.
