PETITION FOR DIVISION OF SLAVES

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the above named Defendants, Mary, wife of Archibald Baker, Margaret 
Ewing, Anna, wife of Malcom Gilchrist, Malcom Galbreath, Alexander Galbreath, Catharine, wife of Fayette Montgomery, 
Sarah, wife of John McLeran, Catharine, wife of Alexander Smith, Mary, wife of James Graham, N.A. McMillan, Archibald A. 
McMillan, and Margaret McMillan are not inhabitants of this State: It is therefore ordered that publication be made in 
the Fayetteville Observer, for six successive weeks, for the said defendants to appear at the next term of this Court, 
then and there to plead, answer or demur, or the petition will be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte.
