In the name of God Amen.
I, Archibald Buie, of Cumberland County and Province of North Carolina. Planter, being very sick 
and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory. Thanks be given to God .
Calling into mind the Mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, 
do make and ordain this my last will and testament. That is to say, principally and first of all I 
give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the 
Earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but 
at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the power of God; And as touching such 
worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in the Life I give demise and dispose of the 
same in the following Manner and Form.

I give and Bequeath to my well beloved daughter, Jennet Buie and the lawfully begotten Heirs of her 
body all the singular my lands, tenements and Negros and all other moveables that I am possessed of 
at this time and it is my request that the Neighest Male Heirs in blood to me Claim and Recover the 
Same as his or their property if in case there be none of those Breaches by her or them or either of 
them.  It is my Request that she and the Heirs of her Body may freely possess and enjoy the same. 
And I do hereby utterly disallow, Revoke and Dismanul all every other former Testaments Wills, Legacies, 
Bequest and Executors by me in any way before anmed willed and bequeathed Ratifying and confirming this 
I do Constitute and Appoint my Beloved Daughter Jennet Buie and my Cousin Neill Buie and my good Friedn 
and Neighbor John Shaw as my Executrix and Executors of this my Last Will and Testmanent. In Witness 
whereof there unto Let my Hand and Seal this Sixth Day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand 
Seven Hundred Seventy Four.
