Charlie's Bait Shop (circa 1960s)
Owned by Charlie Simmons, it was located at the present Conover Automotive.
The business was later located across the street on First Street.
The building once served as Conover City Hall in the early 1950s.

The man himself, renter of boat cushions, conductor of
the "Slingshot Contest," and vendor of worms and nightcrawlers.
