Conover-Newton Bus Line

The Conover-Newton Bus Line was formed in the early 'forties and was owned by Allen Arndt. The daily schedule ran from Newton to Conover and Maiden as well as Claremont, Catawba and Catfish. Many of the patrons would ride the bus to attend movies in Conover and Maiden. Pictured in front of the bus is driver, Howard Murphy.
