CLARKTON - Constance Priest Hopper, 65, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Columbus County.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, May 2 in the Clarkton City Cemetery by the Rev. Stewart Link. Gaskins Funeral Home of Clarkton handled the arrangements.
She is survived by her mother: Evie Priest of Clarkton; a son: Charles David Hopper of Orlando, Fla.; a brother: Charles Layton Priest of Clarkton; a sister: Margaret Priest Womble of Statesville; and one grandchild.

NELLIE C BLACKMON
BLADENBORO - Nellie Calihan Blackmon, 86, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Sunbridge Nursing Center of Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Burris Blackmon and a son, Jessie Blackmon.
Final rites will be conducted Monday, May 3 at 2 p.m. at New Light Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Tom Dorman. Interment will be in Singletary Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by two sons: Donald Blackmon of Wilmington and Kennie Blackmon of Chadbourn; three daughters: Dorothy Faircloth of Wilmington, Rosie Smith and Joann Turner, both of Bladenboro; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Freeman; two sons: Arthur Boone of Whiteville and Robert Allen Freeman of Greenville, Tenn.; two sisters: Novella Faison of Whiteville and Thelma Murphy of Bridgeport, Conn.; and a brother: Fred Boone of Whiteville.

WHITEVILLE - Hazel Mae Etheridge, 76, of the Crusoe Island Community, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Columbus County Hospital.
She was born Feb. 14, 1928 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Empie B. and Lola Mae Dow Watts. She was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Everette -Tug- Watts and a granddaughter: Randall Jean Johnson.
Final rites were conducted Sunday, May 2 at Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church by the Reverends Jackie Godwin and Charles Cribb. Interment was in the church cemetery. Peacock Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Leland H. Etheridge; three daughters: Elaine Shepherd of Crusoe, Vicky Ward of Whiteville and Jean Johnson of Nakina; two sons: Audie Etheridge and Delane Etheridge, both of Crusoe; two brothers: Banks Watts of Whiteville and Fred Watts of Charlotte; a sister: Maxine Lewis of Crusoe; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Rusty Shepherd, Scotty Shepherd, Jason Etheridge, Jimmy Price, Russell Norris and Drew Brock.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Mabel Lewis Gore Becker, 88, formerly of Whiteville, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
She was the daughter of the late A.D. Lewis and Pauline McCleney and was a member of the Whiteville First Baptist Church. She moved to Gainesville, Fla. in her early 60s and was a successful businesswoman as the founder of Gore-Rabell Real Estate Company where she worked until her retirement. She lived briefly in New Bern until returning to Gainesville in 1999.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, May 2 at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. McKenzie Mortuary handled the arrangements.
She is survived by a son: Lennon Gore and wife Catherine of Micanopy, Fla.; a daughter: Martha McLawhorn and husband Billy of New Bern; a sister: Margaret Sauls and husband Austin of Concord; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of Florida and North Carolina.
Memorials may be made to the Whiteville First Baptist Church or the Whiteville Rescue Squad.

ASH - Hilburn Carl Evans, 63, died Saturday, May 1, 2004 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Battie Evans and Minnie Simmons and was retired from Georgia-Pacific.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, May 4 at 2 p.m. at the Evans Family Cemetery by the Rev. William Chappell. McKenzie Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Visitation will be Monday from 7-9 p.m. at McKenzie Mortuary.
He is survived by a son: Dewayne Evans of Ash; a daughter: Tammie Niles of Williamsburg, Va.; a sister: Ellen Benton of Shallotte; and three grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served for 2 1/2 years as an E-2.

TABOR CITY - Bryan -Bill- Lancaster, 77, passed away Friday, April 30, 2004 in the Loris Community Hospital.
He was born Dec. 20, 1926 in Green Sea, S.C., the son of Frederick William and Beulah Waddell Lancaster. He was a graduate of Green Sea High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed with American Bakeries for 34 years. He was a member of the Tabor City Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon, Sunday school teacher, usher and was on the finance committee. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Pedro, Rudolph and Edison Lancaster; and a sister: Eloise Coleman.
Final rites will be conducted Monday, May 3 at 3 p.m. in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Inman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sally Grainger Lancaster; twin daughters: Kay Rogers of Lumberton and Day Land of Hamlet; two sisters: Lila Duncan of Whiteville and Pearl Strickland of Tabor City; and one grandchild.

BRONSON, Mich. - Patricia E. Ross, 59, formerly of Lake Waccamaw, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Battle Creek Health System in Michigan.
She was born March 11, 1945 in Whiteville, the daughter of the late James Homer and Doris Dew Ross.
She graduated from Hallsboro High School in 1963, then in 1967 from Pembroke State University (UNC-Pembroke). She taught school for a year in North Carolina then moved to Michigan and taught at Quincy for three years before moving to Bronson where she has been a home economics teacher for 35 years.
She was a member of the Michigan Education Association and the National Education Association.
Final rites will be conducted Monday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. at Peacock-s Chapel In The Pines by Father Jim Byrne. Interment will be in Lake Waccamaw Hillcrest Cemetery. Peacock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by five sisters: Jeannie Galloway of Papillon, Neb., Josephine Albergo of Inverness, Fla., Doris Bell, Rose Mary Davis and Anna Etheridge, all of Whiteville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Sobczak.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Galloway, Nicholas Albergo, Wayne Bell, Van Davis, Jimmy Etheridge, Bruno Godwin III, Joseph Fowler and Joseph Jablowski.

She was the daughter of the late Dock J. and Blanche Fipps Hinson and the widow of Joseph McPherson.

RUTH NELL KING
ASH -- Ruth Nell King, 85, of Old King Road, NW, Ash, N.C. died Tuesday, May 4, 2004 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Born in Nakina on May 7, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Durance and Bessie Gore Gore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. King, a daughter Brenda Simmons and a grandson Shawn Ingram and all her siblings. She was a loving mother and cared greatly for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will be sorely missed by her family and her community.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 7, at 2 p.m. in New Britton Baptist Church of which she was a member by the Rev. Sterling Sarvis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Brunswick Funeral Service of Shallotte is handling the arrangements.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law: Billy Wayne King and Barbara of Wilmington; a daughter and son-in-law: Marjorie Dew and Wayne of Ocean Isle Beach; five granddaughters: Kathy S. Gillman and husband Don of Raleigh; Angela K. Barnes and husband Johnny of Wilmington; Lisa Simmons of Calabash; Amanda Smith of Ocean Isle Beach and Stephanie King of Wilmington; two grandsons: Chris Smith and wife Mary Sue of Calabash; and Butch King and wife Cyndi of Wilmington; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was born April 17, 1926 in Brunswick County, the son of the late Henry Lee and Sally King Simmons. He was a member of New Britton Baptist Church and was retired from the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
Final rites with military honors will be conducted Saturday, May 8 at 2 p.m. at New Britton Baptist Church by the Rev. Sterling Sarvis. Interment will be in the Bill Inman Cemetery. Peacock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta Duncan Simmons; three daughters: Mary Griffin of Portsmouth, Va., Judy Becht of Wilmington and Dianne Rouse of Whiteville; a son: J.E. Simmons of Ash; a sister: Ina Mae Woods of Wilmington; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Simmons.

WHITEVILLE - Betty Ann Moore Tedder, 65, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at her Ocean Isle Beach residence.
She was the daughter of the late Earl Moore and Nellie Brown and was the widow of Linwood Tedder. She was a member of the Western Prong Baptist Church and was retired from Columbus County Hospital as an insurance clerk for 31 years.
Final rites were held Sunday, May 9 at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel by the Rev. Roy Walker. Interment was in the Western Prong Baptist Church Cemetery. McKenzie Mortuary handled the arrangements.

She was a long time resident of Little River, S.C. and for the past five years, has lived with her daughter in Wilmington. She was born in Columbus County Oct. 4, 1913, the daughter of the late Thomas Aron Gore and Frances Gore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Owen Andrews.
Final rites were conducted Wednesday, May 12 in the Inman Chapel, Tabor City, by the Rev. Bill Cottingham, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church of Wilmington. Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City handled the arrangements.
She is survived by a daughter: Mildred Andrews Ward and husband Lupton Ward of Wilmington; a granddaughter: Kay Ward Lambert and husband Dr. Jake Lambert of Tallahassee, Fla.; two great-grandchildren: Cary Marie Lambert and Cameron James Lambert, also of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters: Dell Gore of Clarendon and Martha Gore and husband Clyde of Tabor City; and several nieces and nephews.

WHITE LAKE - Donald E. Kinlaw, 55, died Monday, May 10, 2004 at Brunswick Community Hospital, Supply.
The son of the late Ervin and Blanchie Kinlaw, he retired after serving more than 10 years as White Lake Police Chief and previously served as a police officer in Elizabethtown, Cerro Gordo and Chadbourn. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
Final rites were conducted Wednesday, May 12 in the chapel at Kinlaw Funeral Home by the Rev. Jim Woodruff. Interment was in Singletary Cemetery, Bladenboro. Kinlaw Funeral Home of Elizabethtown handled the arrangements.

BLADENBORO - Cecil Vernon Nance, United States Army (Retired) and farmer, born 23 April 1930 deceased 11 May 2004.
Cecil proudly served the citizens of the United States of America from 31 December 1937 to 29 September 1965. America was at war when he eagerly joined the military to defend the freedoms we take for granted. He dies while the world defends against the War on Terrorism.
Master Sergeant Nance-s military awards and honors include U.S. Army Commendation Medal (Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal (Sixth Award), Army of Occupation Medal (Italy, Austria, Japan), National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal Korea, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and an associates degree from Bladen Community College.
He was preceded in death by his spouse of more than 40 years, Francis Smith Nance. He is survived by three children and their spouses: Melody Ann Rich and Dennis Rich of Bladenboro, oldest son: Cecil Virgil and Linda-Lou B. Nance of Raleigh, Duayne Richard and Jennifer of Hayes, Va.; his rich blessing of grandchildren include Cory and Thad Rich, Christopher and Jonathan Nance, Ashley and Kayla Nance.
Both sons followed tradition with careers in the Army and Navy. His greatest achievement in life was sharing in the anniversaries of his children, each celebrating more that 20 years of marriage.
His brothers and sisters residing in Bladenboro include Dolly Jackson, Sarah McQueen, Fred and Tom Ellis.
His parting message is found in Timothy 5:8 regarding family responsibilities.
Family and friends are gathering at Lewis-Bowen Funeral Home Thursday, 13 May from 6-9 p.m. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, 14 May at New Center Baptist Church, Bladenboro.

He was the son of the late Rossie Jackson and Geneva Meares Ransom. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Ransom and a brother, Jack Ransom. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the Army and retired from National Spinning in 1994 after 31 years of employment.

LAKE WACCAMAW - Robert Lee Parker, 76, of Charleston, S.C., formerly of Bolton, died Sunday, May 16, 2004 in Premier Living at Lake Waccamaw.
He was born Jan. 26, 1928 in Columbus County, the son of the late Vander P. and Maude Bachelor Parker. He retired as Chief Petty Officer with the U.S. Navy, having served for 20 years. He was a member of the West Ashley Congregation of Jehovah-s Witnesses and served as a ministerial servant. He was the widower of Janice Brown Parker.
Final rites were conducted Wednesday, May 19 at Peacock-s Chapel In The Pines by James Caviness. Interment was in Lake Waccamaw Hillcrest Cemetery. Peacock Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
He is survived by a son: Doug Parker of Varnhill, S.C.; six brothers: Billy Parker and Harry Lee Parker, both of Bolton, Maurice Parker of Mechanicsville, Va., Jimmy Parker of Whiteville, Charles Parker of Sunset Harbor and Polly Parker of Lake Waccamaw; and a sister: Ann Cosper of Marion, S.C. He was preceded in death by two sons: Robert Lee Parker Jr. and Jeffery Wayne Parker and two brothers: Richard Parker and Clayton Parker.

OCEAN ISLE BEACH - James L. -Jimmy- Sanderford Sr. died Sunday, May 16, 2004 in Brunswick Community Hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Miami, Fla. on May 13, 1925, the son of the late Herbert R. and Zibi Flemming Sanderford of Creedmore. He was a retired real estate broker and automobile dealer and was a charter member of the South Brunswick Islands Rotary Club where received his Paul Harris Fellowship. He was active in his church, having served as both elder and deacon in the Shallotte Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 22 at 1 p.m. at Shallotte Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dan Norman. A private burial for the family will follow at a later date in Fair Bluff. Brunswick Funeral Service of Shallotte is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mary R. Sanderford of the home; a son: Dr. James R. Sanderford Jr. and wife Luli of Pfafftown; a daughter: Susan M. Sanderford of Shallotte; and two grandsons: Dean Sanderford of Chapel Hill and Jes Sanderford of Carbondale, Colo.

WHITEVILLE - Staff Sergeant Harvey Foley (Ret.), 78, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004.
He was born Jan. 24, 1926 in Green Sea, S.C., the son of the late Lewis and Nellie Beck Foley. He was the widower of Margot Metzger Foley. He retired with the U.S. Army after 22 years, having served in the Korean Conflict and two tours of duty in Vietnam. Among many medals, he was the recipient of the Bronze Star for his service beyond the call of duty during his second tour in Vietnam. He received a welder instructor-s certificate from Southeastern Community College, then worked with the N.C. Department of Corrections. After leaving the DOC, he devoted his energies to maintaining his garden.
Final rites with military honors will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 21 at Peacock-s Chapel In The Pines. Interment will be in Peacock-s Columbus Memorial Park. Peacock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his son: Harry Foley and wife Kathryn of Lake Waccamaw; two sisters: Shirley Evans and Iva Dean Powell, both of Whiteville; three grandchildren: Derrick W. She is survived by three daughters: Allene Suggs and husband Burnie of Wilmington, Annie Ezzell and husband Freddie of Wilmington and Marie Clewis and husband Archie of Greensboro; two sisters: Mattie Etheridge of Whiteville and Vada Russ of Shallotte; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Her grandson, Dewey Ezzell is serving in the U.S. Air Force in Tokyo, Japan and her great-grandson Matt Register is serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq.

MARION, S.C. - Evelyn Perkins Winesett, 89, died Monday, May 24, 2004.
Born in Chadbourn, she was the daughter of the late William Garrett Perkins and Blanche Wiggins Perkins and was the widow of Lem Winesett. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, the Marion Garden Club and the S.C. Jazz Society.
Surviving are her sister, Lillian Perkins Romey; a son Dean Winesett; two daughters: Kay W. Grant and Mitzi Winesett; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Garrett Winesett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27 at Marion First United Methodist Church by the Reverends Toni White and Dennis Lee. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Visitation will be held at the home, 1011 Evans Road.

A native of Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Dewitt Ward and Cecil Merle Johnson Ward and the widow of Leroy Watts.
Final rites were conducted Wednesday, May 26 in the Inman Chapel by the Rev. Terry Nealey and Wilbur Fipps. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City. Inman Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Fayetteville and was retired from American Bakery after more than 23 years of service. He was the former owner/operator of Gordon Snacks.
Final rites will be conducted Saturday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church of Fayetteville by the Rev. Gardner H. Altman Sr. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by two sons: Brantley A. Norris of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Terry L. Norris of Greenville, S.C.; a daughter: Rene- N. Humphrey of Clemmons; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

ALBANY, Ga. - Allene Spurlin, 81, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004.
A native of Columbus County, she had resided in Albany since 1965, moving from Charlotte. She was a homemaker and community volunteer, working with HCA Palmyra Hospital and Central Baptist Church. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, the Crusaders Sunday school class and the Dogwood Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. -Ole Dad- Spurlin.
Graveside services were conducted Thursday, May 27 in Crown Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Edd Spurlock. Mathews Funeral Home of Albany, Ga. handled the arrangements.
She is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Spurlin and Allen Spurlin and his wife Billie; a daughter: Jo Spurlin Granberry; three grandsons: Michael Spurlin, Andrew Spurlin and Harrison Spurlin, all of Albany; a granddaughter: Amelia Granberry of Tallahassee, Fla.; and a sister: Ruby Shepperd of Whiteville.

She was born Dec. 22, 1907 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Alvie and Jane Jacobs Smith and was the widow of Willie Jacobs. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Final rites will be conducted Friday, May 28 at 3 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church by the Reverends Don Carter and Michael Jacobs. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Peacock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by two sons: Wilson Jacobs and Weldon Jacobs, both of Bolton; two daughters: Lollie Mae Rains of Bolton and Polly Locklear of Pembroke; a sister: Lucy Jacobs of Bolton; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Morris Jacobs; two daughters: Mary Lee Goodman and Letha Mae Freeman; and six brothers: Manley Jacobs, John Jacobs, Lofton Jacobs, Jessie Jacobs, R.C. Jacobs and Henry Jacobs.

CURTIS O. LONG

BOLTON -- Curtis O'Neal Long, 49, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004.
He was born April 2, 1955, the youngest of six children of the late Steve and Alease Long. He was a graduate of Hallsboro High School. At an early age, he began farming and made it a career. He worked on several farms throughout Columbus County, but worked faithfully for the late G.A. and Madie Redwine until his death.
Final rites will be conducted Saturday, May 29 at 2 p.m. at Carver-s Creek Church by the Rev. Mike Jacobs. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home of Wilmington is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by two brothers: Jeremiah Long of Riegelwood and David Long of the home; two sisters: Betty Townsend of Fairmont and Rena Daniels of Riegelwood; and his godmother: Madie Redwine of Bolton.
A wake will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Riegelwood.

She was retired from Stone Manufacturing Company where she worked as an inspector. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Van Strickland.
Final rites were conducted Saturday, May 29 at Meares Funeral Home, Fair Bluff, by the Rev. Dr. Ray Lundy. Interment was in Powell Cemetery. Meares Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
She is survived by a daughter: Doris Strickland Miller of Lexington; three sons: Edgar Earl Strickland and Timmy Gerald Strickland, both of Mobile, Ala. and David Devon Strickland of Marion, S.C.; a brother: Ray Williamson of Whiteville; a sister: Ruby Jane Williamson of Chadbourn; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

FRANKLIN T. FORREST

HOLDEN BEACH - Franklin Thomas Forrest, 68, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at his residence.
He was born in Kinston Oct. 13, 1935, the son of the late J.T. and Ola Mae Sutton Forrest. Following graduation from Hallsboro High School, he entered the U.S. Navy where he served for 22 years. Following his retirement from the Navy, he and his wife Nancy moved to Holden Beach. He was a member of the Shallotte River Power Squadron and a life member of the Holden Beach VFW #8866. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kerrelee Forrest.
A memorial service was conducted Saturday, May 29 in the Holden Beach Chapel by the Rev. Marvin Gold and Mark Saunders. Full military honors were presented by the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. Brunswick Funeral Service of Shallotte handled the arrangements.

CERRO GORDO, CHADBOURN - Ret. Major Aquila Pearson -A.P.- Worley Jr., 74, died Friday, May 28, 2004 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Aquila P. and Bertie Lee Strickland Worley Sr. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service and became very active in the community, serving on the Columbus County Public Library board of directors, Chadbourn Community Library board of directors, West Columbus High School advisory board, president of the Greater Chadbourn Chamber of Commerce, regional director for the Employment Security Commission, owner, operator of the Hasty Mart in Chadbourn and a former buffalo breeder.
Final rites will be conducted Tuesday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at Chadbourn Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Paul Layton and the Rev. Elmore Strickland. Interment will be in Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors. Worthington Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

RALEIGH - Ralph Beverly Barksdale, 80, formerly of Whiteville, died Thursday, May 27, 2004.
He was the son of the late Herbert Barksdale and Mamie Smith
Barksdale of Whiteville. He was born in Banner, Va., but spent his formative years in Whiteville and was involved in Whiteville High School athletics. Lt. Barksdale served in WWII as a pilot in the Naval Air Corps. He was a graduate of NCSU in civil engineering where he lettered in football and baseball. He worked for Gregory Poole Equipment Co. in the sales division for more than 35 years.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, June 2 at 10 a.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park with Witness to the Resurrection Service to follow at 11 a.m. at White Memorial Presbyterian Church. Brown-Wynne Funeral Home of Raleigh is handling the arrangements.
