C. 1836" General condition of cemetery: The cemetery shows no care and is grown up with briars, small shrubbery and oaks. Date of survey: Jan. 16, 1939 Worker: Anson G. Melton Inscriptions: "W. C. 1836" (On a large flint stone on west center of cemetery) "Sparks, Thomas Co. D., 14 N.C. Troops, C.S.A."
