SHOAL CREEK CEMETERY (Colored) This cemetery is located in No. 3 Township, Cleveland County, N.C. six miles south of Shelby on lands of Will F. Moore, and being a colored cemetery, cared for by Will F. Moore, farmer, residing just north of the cemetery. The majority of the colored people buried here are slaves belonging to William Hamrick, large land owner whose plantation extended from Stice's Shoal to north of Little River.
