THE PANNEL GRAVEYARD This cemetery is located in No. 7 Township, Cleveland County, N.C. about one and one half mile of Lattimore, N.C. on the lands of W. J. Towery on a hill 100 yards of dirt road leading from Lattimore to Shelby. Boxwood and wild cherry trees grow in the little cemetery. Owner of Cemetery: W. J. Oct. 18, 1877 General condition of cemetery: Out in a field and plowed around, but otherwise ignored. Date of survey: Nov. 1, 1938 Workers: B. E. Weathers and A. G. Melton Inscription: Pannell, Cyntha, wife of Martin Pannell, b. Feb. 1812, d. Oct. 18, 1877. Aged 65 years and 8 months. (Martin Pannel and wife and a little Ellis child are the only people buried here-three in all. This man Martin Pannell was a Baptist Preacher for many years. He was probably 80 years of age when he died. He married Cyntha Walker. This [is] the report of S. C.
