OLD SALEM CHURCH CEMETERY

This very old church cemetery is located in No. 9 Township, Cleveland
County, N.C. on the lands of John Falls a mile and a half west of
Fallston on Highway No. 180 leading from Fallston to Polkville, and
about 300 yards south of said road and Shady Grove Filling Station owned
by Roy Norman; about eleven and a half miles north of Shelby, N.C.

Condition: The cemetery is an old church cemetery about 96 x 135 feet
and is enclosed in a two- strand wire fence with the strands running
through drilled holes in stones about 2 ½ high. It is grown up in small
bushes.

(This old church cemetery is now practically abandoned. The church was
removed to Fallston, I understand by Mr. J. Z. Falls, The church is an
M. E. Church-Methodist Episcopal.)
