CLEVELAND COUNTY, NC - CEMETERIES - Lucas Family Cemetery LUCAS FAMILY CEMETERY To get to this cemetery from Polkville, NC take the Oak Grove-Clover Hill Road which heads east beside the Polkville Methodist Church. Follow this road about 3-4 miles and you will cross a bridge and after about 2-3 tenths of a mile, in a sharp left turn, you will find Mauney Road going to the right. The cemetery is on the west side of the road in a clump of trees about a hundred yards off the road behind the first two houses on the west side of the road. I did the audit November 13, 2000. There are 20-40 graves marked with fieldstones. This survey, with a few differences, has been online as one that I grew up with and that has been destroyed. The one that I grew up with and all it’s info is probably gone forever. THE SURNAMES IVESTER, LUCAS, MCCALL, TURNER, WHITE Turner, J.P.
