To Rutherford County, North Carolina (now Cleveland County), in 1812, bought land from a Mr. ____ McEntire at the McBrayer Springs North of Shelby. He was married in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, and his first wife died there. He had four children by his first wife born in Virginia, to-wit: Newton Wright, George Wright, Jack Wright, and one daughter Mary (Polly) Wright. After settling at McBrayer Springs Job Wright was married to a Miss Polly Sparks. He had no children by her. Job Wright died Feb. 3, 1838 while living on his farm near McBrayer Springs, and was buried in said graveyard on his farm. His second wife lived a number of years thereafter, and was buried by his side. The will of Job Wright is dated January 20, 1838, and probated at Spring Term of Court of same year in Rutherford County, N.C., and transferred to Cleveland County in 1841. "Joe E. Blanton, County Commissioner, age 65, says that Thomas Sparks, grandfather of will T. Sparks, was buried in this graveyard about 1887."
