JAMES IRVIN CEMETERY Location: Lying in No. 2 Township, Cleveland County, N.C. on lands of A. T. Hamrick (formerly John Hamrick's) about 6 miles west of Shelby, about 400 years west of one prong of Beaver Dam Creek and about 300 yards from country road leading from John Hamrick's to Highway #74. This cemetery has wild cherry trees and oaks around it. Collis Jones says: James Irvin was J. & Irvin and John Irvin's great grandfather. There are about 20 unmarked graves. Owner of Cemetery: A. T.
