HULLENDER CEMETERY

This cemetery is located in Cleveland county, N.C. in No. 5 Township on
sand-clay road about seven miles from Shelby, and one and three-fourths
mile east of old A. R. P. Burying Ground, adjoining lands of John Foster
and Clarence Plonk.

(The land where this cemetery is situated is said to have been in the
Hullender family for over 100 years. Eliza Carpenter donated one acre
for the cemetery. Each year on the second Sunday in August a Hullender
Reunion is held at the cemetery. The last time they met 350 people were
present, services being conducted by "Bonny Boy" Allen, of Gastonia.
