DOGGETT AND ELLIOTT CEMETERY This cemetery is located in No. 6 Township, Cleveland County, NC on lands of V. O. Cline, 4 ½ miles east of Shelby, N.C. on Elizabeth and Stony Point Road, and on west bank of Buffalo Creek. Owner of Cemetery: V. July 31, 1859 General condition of cemetery: Completely done away with, being plowed over. We found the marker at the edge of the field. Date of survey: Dec. 28, 1938 Worker: Anson G. Melton Inscription: Doggett, Richard, d. July 31, 1859. Aged 63 years. (This marker has been removed to the edge of the field for the sake of the plow. Present tenant, Royster Webber (Col.) 36, says that this graveyard was plowed up in 1935 and that there were about three visible graves. Worker, A. G.
