BETHEL A. R. P. CHURCH CEMETERY Located in Cleveland County, NC one mile west of Clarence Plonk's, organized about _________, and abandoned about 1935. The old frame church, about 45 x 60 feet, was torn down in 1937, and membership transferred to Kings Mountain, N.C. William McGill's father donated the ground for the church, some two and half acres. J. b. McGill lives here and is a grandson of donor. In summer of 1938 the community erected stone wall enclosing graveyard of about ¾ acre, wall about 16 inches thick and 3 ½ feet high with two entrances with iron gates on the north and east sides. An arbor 30 x 50 feet was erected August 1937, and a McGill reunion was held there Wednesday, Aug. 16, 1939. Owner of cemetery: Bethel A. R. P.
