She was married to John Marshall SHUFORD (son of Jacob Hoyle SHUFORD and Catherine BAKER) on 13 Jan 1870. John Marshall SHUFORD was born on 9 Mar 1847 in Catawba County, North Carolina. ⁽²⁶²⁾ He died on 1 May 1912 in Catawba County, NC & buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Hickory, NC. ⁽²⁶³⁾ He died on 2 May 1912. John joined the Confederate Army at age 17 and was taken prisoner at Fort
Fisher on Christmas Day 1864 and held until 20 June 1865.
