FOURTH GENERATION

50. Alfred Matthew (or W.) WILSON was born on 15 Nov 1818 in Catawba County, North Carolina. (28) (Records give 18 Nov 1814 but this conflicts.) Copy of letter from a cousin, A P Lynch, to Joseph M D W Wilson; in possession of Lynn Pritchett. He died on 6 Sep 1898 in Burke County, North Carolina. He was buried in Glen Alpine, Burke County, North Carolina. Alfred was a millwright and is believed to have died near Glen Alpine and buried there. He was married to Florence (or Elizabeth) Fleming and later divorced her. According to his father's will and the 1880 census, he moved back into the home place and cared for his mother, a sister and two of his sons. He is mentioned in the will of Mathew Wilson; dated 6 April 1874; filed in Catawba county, NC; photocopy in possession of Lynn Pritchett.

He was married to Florence (or Elizabeth) FLEMING before 1855. Florence (or Elizabeth) FLEMING was born about 1820. Alfred Matthew (or W.) WILSON and Florence (or Elizabeth) FLEMING had the following children:
