761. Ralph Leykenneth BASS was born on 2 Jan 1910 in Lincoln County, North Carolina and died on 27 Jul 1981 in Catawba County. He was buried in Startown Baptist Church Cemetery, Newton, NC. "Uncle Ralph," as he was known, was an avid gardner and was well known in Catawba and Lincoln counties for his large vegtable gardens and coon hounds. Ralph resided on Jarrett's Farm Road across the road from his sister, Reba Eltus Bass (Cline). Ralph and his brother, Charles Leonard Bass, were always in competition to see who could grow the largest and best tomatoes. Ralph worked in furniture factories for the majority of his adult life.
