16. Marcus M. MOSER was born about 1828 in Lincoln (Catawba) County, North Carolina27,42 and died on 10 May 1864.43 His record in the War Between the States is as follows:44,45 MOSER, M. M., Private, Company E, 32nd Regiment, N.C. Troops - Resided in Catawba County where he enlisted at age 37, March 31, 1863, for the war. Present or accounted for until wounded in the jaw and captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 1-2, 1863. Hospitalized at Frederick, Maryland. Transferred to hospital at Baltimore, Maryland, September 5, 18631 Paroled at Baltimore on September 25, 1863, and transferred to City Point, Virginia, where he was received on September 27, 1863, for exchange. Returned to duty subsequent to December 31, 1863. Killed at Spotsylvania Court House, Virginia, May 10, 1864. [NCT]
