Elmina Lucille (Lucile) PROPST and Thomas Arthur DAVIS were married on 3 February 1923.²⁶¹ Keita Himes notes that daughters, Betty, Catherine and Ada might well be Margaret and Erma. Thomas Arthur DAVIS, son of Thomas Oliver SPENCER and Susan A. DAVIS, was born on 20 November 1901 in Alexander County, North Carolina. (death certificate reads: 20 Nov 1900) He died Hypertemsion and Nephris due to heart failure on 11 November 1945 at the age of 43 in Lenoir, Caldwell County, North Carolina. He was buried in Eastview Cemetery, Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina.
