6. Johann Michael HERMAN¹ was born on 12 July 1777 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.^5,40 He died on 1 January 1859 at the age of 81 in Iredell County, North Carolina.⁴⁰
Michael Herman, youngest son of Wilhelm, had deeds recorded in Lincoln County. He wrote a fine German script, and the following receipt was signed separately by William Herman Jr., Catharine Wagner, Michael Herman and Mary Herman Deal- "May 26, 1826. Received of George and Peter Herman sum of $202.20, it being the full part of my legasee of my father's estate. I say received by me." Signed by Michael Herman and witnessed by William Herman. He married an unknown wife, about 1798.

Johann Michael HERMAN and Catherine "Katie" RUDISILL were married on 26 August 1826 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Catherine "Katie" RUDISILL, daughter of Philip RUDISILL and Elizabeth [Lau] LOWE, was born on 10 July 1792 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.⁴⁰ She died on 14 April 1876 at the age of 83 in Iredell County, North Carolina.⁴⁰

Johann Michael HERMAN and Catherine "Katie" RUDISILL had the following children:
