467. Kyle Shuford JONES was born on 21 Sep 1934 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina and died on 14 Aug 2004 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, Miss. His body was returned to Catawba County and he was buried in Bethel United Church of Christ, Newton.

His obitualy read as follows: HICKORY - Dr. Kyle Shuford Jones, 69, of Hattiesburg, Miss., died Aug. 14, 2004, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss. Born Sept. 21, 1934, in Hickory, he was a son of the late James Shuford Jones and Elizabeth Flowers Jones. A member of Heritage United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg, Miss., he was director of Libraries & Learning Resources at William Carey College. Dr. Jones was a member of the Southern Baptist Library Association, the Christian Library Association and the Masonic Lodge in Hickory. Dr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Emma Lee Rouse Jones of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a son, Jason Kyle Jones of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Libby Shull of Hildebran; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Harold Whitener at 5 p.m. Saturday at Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews. The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Kyle Shuford JONES and Emma Lee ROUSE were married on 31 Jul 1971 in Kinston, North Carolina. Emma Lee ROUSE was born in 1944. There no issue.
