404. Jessie Emma WILSON²¹¹ was born on 10 Sep 1895 in Catawba County, North Carolina²⁸⁰ and died on 23 Apr 1991 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. Jessie was married to James Day son of Jackson & Jane Sides day on 11 December 1909 in Catawba Co. N.C. The marriage license was dated 7 December 1909 and the couple were married at the home of the bride's father, George E. Long, Minister, Officiating.²⁸¹

James E. DAY (son of Calvin Jackson DAY and Louise Jane SIDES) was born in Hickory, North Carolina,18 Sep 1884,^271,282 and died there on 24 Sep 1962, in a Hickory Hospital. Funeral services were held at West Hickory Baptist Church where he had been a member for over 40 years. The Reverend Frank Thomas conducted the service and burial followed at Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, North Carolina.

Jessie was 14 years old when she married. She was a very sweet and religious woman and was active in her church until she was in her 80's. Jim, as he was called, worked until he was 70 years old. He retired from Elliott Hosiery Mill in Hickory after 20 years. Before this he worked many years at The Southern Desk Company, in the molding department. They made the molds and poured the liquid metal for the different forms needed when making school desk and other furniture.
