BOLCH, ISRAEL, Private, Co F, 23rd Regiment, NC Troops - Born in Catawba County* where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Catawba County on June 6, 1861. Present or accounted for until discharged on August 3, 1862, by reason of disability. Discharge certificate gives his age as 22.

BOLICK, ISRAEL, Private, Co E, 57th Regiment, NC Troops - Resided in Catawba County and was by occupation a day laborer prior to enlisting in Lenoir County at age 24, May 1, 1864, for the war. Sent to hospital sick on June 20, 1864. Died on September 12, 1864, while on sick furlough. Place and cause of death not reported. He was buried in Bolch Cemetery on Spencer Road, Hickory, NC.

Died in hospital at Richmond on March 19, 1863, of "scrofula."

Rosanna Caroline PROPST (daughter of Henry Jesse PROPST and Mary Magdalene (Polly\Mollie) BOWMAN) was born on 25 Jun 1835 in Lincoln (Catawba) County, North Carolina. She died on 22 Nov 1902 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina and was buried in old section of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Rosannah's sister was Ephraim's first wife. Severely burned as a child, she developed a cancerous growth on the area where she was burned.

Back in the 1940's, Harold Bolch recorded the grave stone of Abner as:
Abner Bolch born 8-21-1817 died 1-26-1894 age 76 yrs 5 mo 5 days

There was an Abner Bolick from Caldwell County (30 Dec 1816-13 May 1909) who lived
his entire live in the Globe community of Caldwell County but they can not be the same person.
