Holton, Dr N M - Southern Christian Advocate, December 6, 1867 Obituary: Dr. N. M. Holton was born in Concord, N. C., November 17th ,1810, and died in Tazewell, Ga., October 28, 1867. He professed religion July, 1831, in Charlotte, No. Ca., at a union meeting held by Rev. Mr. Barnes of the Presbyterian Church and Rev. Mr. Furman of the Baptist Church, and joined the Presbyterian Church... became dissatisfied and removed to Lincoln co., Ga., where he joined the M. E. Church, under Rev. J. C. Simmons, at New Hope, 1834, moved to Talbotton, Ga., 1835.... He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss.

Co., NC. Many of his children went to Union Co., GA, Fannie Co.,GA, Ranger,
Cherokee Co., NC and my line went to Prentiss Co., MS.
Thomas Voyles (1745-1816) married Sarah SHINN. He died in Washington KY.
John Voyles (1750-ca 1820) died in Greenville, SC.
