Mary Eliza Smith was born in 1825, the daughter of John "Ginny" Smith and Susan McLemore. She married Allen Jackson (b. 1822). They were the parents of George W. Jackson, Elbert H. Jackson (m. Ida Wheeler), and Gaston Jackson (m. Docia Thaggard). After Allen's death, Mary married a Nunnery.
