Ellen Catherine Tatum Fowler
Ellen Catherine Tatum Fowler - born 25 May, 1852 in Bladen County, NC. Daughter of Ollen Tatom and Catherine McInnes. She married William Spearman Fowler (son of William Giles Fowler & Elizabeth Owen) of Sampson County, NC in 1882. They had 8 children, 7 of which lived to adulthood, married and had families of their own. The last child, born in 1896, died. It is not known what sex it was, or if it was born in Bladen County or in Worth County, Georgia. The last living child was born 15 June, 1895 in Bladen County, NC. Sometime prior to 2 February, 1897 the family moved to the outskirts of Sylvester, Worth County, Georgia. Ellen Catherine died 2 February, 1897. Then William Spearman Fowler married Mary Elizabeth Willis sometime in 1897. She had been born in 1876, so she was 21 years old. They then had 8 children.
