HISTORY:

I have a little info from a book called "Seventeenth Century Isle of Wight County Virginia " by John Bennett Boddie . On page 363 it states that the plantation was owned by Nathan Boddie. He died 7 December 1797 and is buried on the property. According to the book, the plantation was still occupied by his decendants in 1938 - namely, a lady named Anna Boddie Bunn. I am related to the Boddies. I am a member of DAR, and my revolutionary war ancestor is John Boddie, who (if I recall correctly) was Nathan Boddie's uncle. Submitted by Donna Sutton
