SLAVE POPULATION: There is a slave plantation in davidson county called reid plantation built in 1840 with 30 to 40 slaves you can see it at denton community farm park on piedmont school road.you will see old tractors and trains and general stores and other relics of the past.it is where they have the denton tractor shows every year.the plantation was originally located at jackson hill in davidson county below tuckertown reservour and also the the dirt road it was use to be on is named j.c. reid road .go on bringle ferry road of number hwy 8 and take left on lick creek church road and jc reid road is on the right.nothing to see on that road is just where they moved the big house and slave quarters and out buildings and it is really neat down that big hill past the metal gate.it is govermnet property now and also game warden land for hunters.you go all the way down the road and it runs into water the tuckertown reservour river.....go to denton farm park to check out reid plantation they have restored it and looks real nice...another plantation is in midway north carolina in davidson county on everhart road near lickscillet.the everhart plantation farm is run downed in poor shape.another plantation is folansbee road in forsyth county half way down on the right and a slave quarter and big house and a linch tree where they use to hang slaves.another plantation is union cross road in kernerville near union cross business center.there is a nice plantation with four nice slave quarters fully preserved and very strange land,please check these out and email me back tell me more information on these plantations...thank you, mike p.s. im always looking for abandoned plantations and privatley owned plantations and looking for haunted places too.the plantations are haunted what i have been told.happy plantation hunting,becareful outhere.....

REID ROAD OFF LICK CREEK CHURCH ROAD.GO TO NUMBER HWY 8 AND GO RIGHT ON BRINGLE FERRY ROAD TURN RIGHT ON LICK CREEK CHURCH ROAD BEFORE YOU GO OVER TUCKERTOWN RESERVOUR BRIDGE.ANY WAY BACK IN 1989 THEY MOVED REID PLANTATION FROM J.C. REID ROAD TO DENTON FARM PARK IN DENTON COMMUNTIY.YOU CAN GO TO PIEDMONT SCHOOL ROAD FROM DENTON DOWNTOWN AND YOU WILL SEE THE BIG HOUSE AND SLAVE QUARTERS AT DENTON FARM PARK.IT IS WHERE THEY HAVE TRACTOR SHOWS EVERY SUMMER.THRUSHERS REUNION THAT IS COUNTRY OUTTHERE BELIEVE YOU ME.THERE IS ANOTHER PLANTATION IN FORSYTH COUNTY ON UNION CROSS ROAD AND TWO SLAVE QUARTERS BEHIND IT.GO PASS CLIFF'TIRES CENTER ON THE RIGHT GO TWO MILES OR SO YOU WILL SEE THE PLANTATION ON THE RIGHT.THERE ARE TWO MORE SLAVE PLANTATIONS IN DAVIDSON COUNTY CALLEDEVERHART HAMILTON PLANTATION FARM US 52 MIDWAY COMMUNITY 1,140 ACRES 4 SLAVE QUARTERS.ALSO GO TO ARCADIA IN DAVIDSON COUNTY THE HAMPTON HOUSE PLANTATION ON HAMPTON ROAD OFF MUDDY CREEK ROAD.            P.S.
