| MISCELLANEOUS: | The Stimpson Plantation was in Iredell County , near Harmony, NC. I know this because either my family bought the plantation after the War Between the States. My Grandfather was actually born in the old Stimpson Plantation House. I also understand there was a Blackwell (spelling may be incorrect) in the Davie/Iredell County area. My Grandfather also told me about a Log Plantation House located just off the Davie Academy road that belonged to the Blackwell family - they may be the Blackwelders now living in the Statesville area. I really think the Stimpson Plantation was a big deal. It amazes me that the history seems to be lost. If you want to know more about the history I was told - feel free to correspond with me.
