Be aware of holiday closings in federal, state and local facilities. In searching for old family cemeteries, be aware of the various hunting seasons. Visit . Click on "Hunting", then scroll to "Season Dates" and click on the first two items.

The fee in nominal. Orders do not have to be pre-paid.

The smaller map is $.50 and the larger map is $2.00. NC residents pay 6.75% sales tax on the maps. (Non-residents pay no sales tax on the maps.)

Look for "Individual Counties in JPG Format" and click on "2008 State Travel Map by County". Then, click on Bertie County. This map provides a quick perspective of major roads in the county. The map can be printed.

As noted on the map, US primary routes in the county are 13 and 17. The state routes are 11, 42, 45, 305 and 308. These roads provide access to Interstates 95 (to the west) and 64 (to the northeast).
