Abraham Forbes born June 1, 1846 in Carter County, Tennessee. Born to Simon Forbes and Rachel Richardson. He married Susan Insco December 30, 1869 in Mitchell County. Susan or Hootie was born January 14, 1850 in Franklin County, North Carolina. Born to James Insco and Lavina Burnett. They lived in Linville now in Avery County. Susan had 12 children but only seven survived into adulthood. Abraham died on June 1, 1935 in Linville. Susan died June 29, 1931 in Linville.
