Moses Bentley
Submitted by James Miller

Moses Bentley Sr first lived on the northwest side of the Rocky Face Mountain not far from the plantation of his father, Benjamin Bentley Sr. whose plantation was located on the Cedar Run/Cedar Knob area of present Alexander Co.  Moses removed his family to the Upper Little River area of present day Caldwell/Alexander Counties. His plantation then was in Burke Co and lay on both sides of Upper Little River, the river dividing the present day counties of Caldwell and Alexander.
